Sales Consultant
The Sales Consultant is required to solicit and execute client's Consulting & Management Services contracts to meet the goals established by the Vice President, Sales. This position will be responsible to communicate to potential and existing clients all aspects of physical, financial, regulatory and legislative energy market requirements in support of the sale and fulfillment of client's energy procurement and management needs.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Meet individual sales goals established by the VP, Sales.
- Perform such tasks as reasonably necessary to identify potential consulting / management clients.
- Schedule meetings and make sales presentations to qualified end-use clients to describe client's product offerings.
- Consult with clients regarding market trends, risk management strategies, tariff rate changes and/or any other product offerings or issues as required to obtain new clients and to meet the company’s contractual obligations to its existing clients.
- Provide client's personnel with the information required to generate management / consulting proposal.
- Deliver proposal and other relevant information to potential clients to effectuate execution of client's contracts.
- Participate in company-sponsored events and industry conferences. Coordinate and plan events as required, and endeavor to identify qualified prospects during such events.
- Perform all ancillary work tasks in support of client's business as may be directed by company managers.
- Ensure internal and external client satisfaction.
- 25% Travel required
Skills Required: - BS BA degree in a business related field such as Marketing, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent work experience, required.
- Four years or more of industrial sales experience required. (Energy sales preferred.)
- Exceptional communication skills to function in a team environment and to maintain rapport with clients, co-workers, and employees.
- Experienced presentation skills with leadership ability to orchestrate client and internal team meetings intended to acquire new clients, or retain existing clients.
- Travel as required by clients’ business needs. Note: Approximately 25% Travel Required.
- High level of proficiency in Excel with a working knowledge of PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and the internet.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information at all times.
- Understanding of current industry physical and financial markets, regulatory and legislative issues, and other factors affecting U.S. and global energy markets.
- Awareness of all the key competitors within the U.S. and global competitive markets.
- Flexibility on the job, and the ability to work under multiple, daily deadlines.
