Are you a certified Project Manage looking for a rewarding contract oppostunity in the Telecommunications industry? Our client located in the East End is searching for a Project Manager to come in on a contract basis. The purpose of his position is to develop plans & manage projects associated with the Video Groups. This includes, but is not limited to, personnel resource management, methods & procedures development, project planning and tracking, progress status reporting and escalating of issues as required. This position will work closely with cross-functional groups in all districts to ensure the on-time fulfillment of groups’ goals and objectives.
JOB FUNCTIONS: - Develop project plans, identify & negotiate resource requirements, assign tasks, track accountabilities, facilitate escalations as necessary.
- Produce detailed project plan including tracking for every initiative.
- Develop, lead & facilitate activates within the video group & outside of the video group.
- Identify & work with all cross-functional & stakeholders groups to ensure success of the projects.
- Identify all tasks involved including equipment needs, solutions, protocols, applications, training needs, systems needs, configurations, and timeline.
- Provide Weekly Project Status Reports to management team & stakeholders.
- Report progress and raise red flags on outstanding issues, with recommended solutions during Weekly Project Status meetings.
- Track and report all technical and process issues with Vendors, and hold weekly conference calls with venders & video groups to resolve any outstanding issues.
- Conduct on-site pre & post implementation review & assist during acceptance test.
- Any other duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS: - Project Management Certification desired, but not required
- Proven ability to successfully lead and manage highly skilled cross- functional technical resources in the timely delivery of complex broadband/telecommunications services.
- Working knowledge of the delivery and provisioning video & Data products and services desired, but not necessary.
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word ,Power Point and Microsoft Project.
- Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward manner.
- Ability to handle multiple projects and tasks and manage to deadlines.
- Ability to listen to and interpret the needs of deferent groups within Insight.
- Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with employees, suppliers, in person, on the phone, and by written communications.
- Ability to work independently.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure.
- Ability to prioritize and organize effectively.
- Expected travel 10-20%
