Large Telecom company located in the Louisville, KY is seeking a talented Database Administrator to join their team on a full time basis. Benefits and discount packages available immediately.

The DBA is required to understand business and technical requirements and to develop appropriate database solutions to solve performance, security, reliability and availability requirements. This person must be attentive to details and a self-starter.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

--Provide DBA support for a range of Database Administration activities including:

--Performance monitoring and tuning.

--Debugging.

--Documentation.

--Capacity planning.

--Data modeling.

--Database system software patch and release application.

--Creating users and assigning roles.

--Physical database design and implementation.

--Database configurations include Oracle 9i, 10g, RAC, SQL Server and MySQL.

--Reviews SQL code to ensure scalability and efficiency.

--Disaster recovery support.

--Provide 24x7 on call support.

--Provides recommendations regarding enhancements and/or improvements to the technical environment and processes.

Requirements
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

--BS in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education adn experience.

--3+ years of DBA experience.

--Experience with Data Warehousing tools and techniques.

--Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence Suite.

--Experience with Oracle RAC.

--Expert ability to develop cron jobs, Unix shell scripting.

--Ability to work effectively with peers and customers.

--Solid analytical skills.

--Adaptable to a rapidly -changing work envionment.
