Description:

Our client, an Engineering Firm located in Louisville, KY, is in search of an AutoCAD Designer to add to their team due to industry growth. This is a long term contract position.

The ideal drafts person will have experience with creating specialized drawings , particularly of structural, mechanical or piping in nature.

This person will be responsible for the following:

Creating designs/drawings for a variety of projects: structural, mechanical, or piping systems on AutoCAD.
Preparing bills of material, purchase requisitions, and assigning print distribution.
Assisting drafters, engineers, production, purchasing, and planning personnel with
questions related to design/drawings.
Working under verbal instruction.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Associate / Technical Degree required and/or relevant work experience in Engineering Design.
AutoCAD, PDS, and Smart Plant software required.
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
Previous 3D modeling in AutoCAD or in Inventor 11 or any other software is required.
Detail oriented with the ability to prioritize and delegate.
Ability to meet delivery deadlines.
Reliable and dedicated with excellent attendance .
Must have working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office software in a Windows environment.
