Claims Examiner


Description:

Our client, the largest provider of recovery services in the United States, is seeking a Claims Examiner in the east end of Louisville.  This is a long term contract position.

Experience must include at least two years of direct experience in the following:

  • Property & Casualty claims
  • Previous subrogation experience
  • Knowledge of P&C coverages in order to ensure effective subrogation identification
  • Proven ability to implement, manage and monitor business procedures
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as the ability to lead peers toward goal attainment by example
  • Ability to generate imaginative work or ideas which affect multiple activities
  • Work is performed under direct but minimal supervision. Permitted to make decisions on moderately complex problems/issues.

 The Claims Examiner will be responsible for the following:

  • All aspects of identifying Property/ Casualty files with subrogation potential, for the process of populating database with the investigative details and supporting documentation required to pursue subrogation by a TPCS Examiner or Collector.
  • Must have an eye for detail!  No missed opportunities within TPCS protocols; investigations are managed in a manner which maximizes and accelerates the recovery process.
  • Efficient in terms ensuring optimal leveraging of resources, and that investigative detail is populated into TPCS systems in a cost-effective manner.

This is a long-term contract opportunity

Requirements:

Strong Interpersonal skills:

  • Interaction with the client’s claims staff is a routine requirement. Accordingly, incumbent must have strong communication and organizational skills.

Education:

  • 4 year college degree preferred or 2 years of experience with property & casualty claims.  High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Related college, business, technical or professional school courses desirable but not required.

 MUST BE COMMITTED TO THE DURATION OF THE CONTRACT.
