Telephony Troublshooting


Description:

Description

A major telecom company located in Louisville, KY is searching for an individual who is proficient in troubleshooting telephone problems: loss of dial tone, static on the line and other issues that might arise.  This person must be able to work second shift and one weekend day is required.

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Handle escalations. Researches and resolves the problem immediately, and if necessary verifying the resolution with the customer.
  • Receive, resolve and document Day of Install Trouble Calls.
  • Diagnose and expedite network and provisioning problems related to establishing telephone service.
  • Diagnose and resolve customer related and network reported telephony faults.
  • Reconcile switch and provisioning records.
  • Provide technical support and backup to the provisioning group as needed.
  • Assist with the training of new Provisioning team members as required.
  • Assist the NOC with surveillance in high demand situations.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Competence in Voice Mail platform installs, changes, and disconnects.
  • ICOMS software experience.
  • Type at least 40 wpm.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage to deadlines.
  • Ability to interface at all levels within the organization.
  • Highly computer literate; must become conversant with multiple applications.
  • High School diploma or GED required
