Description: A well known orthopedic office and surgical center in the Golden area is seeking an Orthopedic Technician. The Orthopedic Technician is primarily responsible for the application and removal of dressings, casts and splints. This person will also be performing injections, assisting physicians with procedures, assessing patient injuries and document, ordering appropriate x-rays, sterilizing instruments and preparing patients for procedures. Requirements: - MUST have Certification or be certification eligible National Association of Orthopedic Technicians -MUST have 2 years experience in hospital or orthopedic clinical setting -Knowledge of prinicples and practice techniques of orthopedic care -Knowledge of examination, diagnostic, treatment and orthopedic procedures -Knowledge of orthopedic equipment, instruments, brace, orthotics etc. -Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations -Skill in assisting physicians with procedures -Skill in preparing records and writing reports
