Compensation Analyst Position

 

A large Merchandising Company in south Denver is seeking a Compensation Analyst to join their dynamic team. This is a great opportunity to transition into a great position with a great company that has many opportunities for growth. The ideal candidate will have either Comp Analyst experience or have Benefit or HR Analyst experience.

Responsibilities:

- Perform job evaluations by market pricing using external resources and internally benchmarking

- Work with HRIS to support compensation needs, including assignment of job codes, associate mapping, etc
- Participate in applicable salary surveys
- Keep apprised of federal, state and local compensation laws and regulations in order to ensure Company compliance
- Assist in administering the annual performance evaluation process by providing help desk support in Comp Tool and preparing data for analysis
- Coordinate implementation of new compensation plans that are simple to medium in complexity and provide guidance to associates
- Provide analytical support that is simple to medium in complexity to ongoing compensation policies, guidelines and procedures
- Compile data for monthly and quarterly reporting for analysis by Sr. Analysts
- Conduct FLSA audits to ensure compliance
- Serve as secondary review on analysis and communications developed by other members of the Comp team
- Document department procedures as they are created/changed and maintain documentation library

Requirements:

- 0-3 years in compensation experience or Benefit / HRIS Analyst experience
- Mathematical/financial aptitude, analysis skills and ability to communicate effectively
- Must be willing to participate in a team environment. Ability to work in an environment with frequent interruptions, high volume of activities and multiple demands/deadlines
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and work autonomously. Attention to detail; applying effective analytical and quantitative skills
- Solid computer skills – intermediate/expert in Excel and Access strongly preferred; Lawson knowledge/experience helpful
- Ability to compose reports, policy or procedure manuals and proposals
- Ability to interview for or discuss detailed confidential information
