Physicians Assistant

A leading orthopaedic surgery practice in Bartlett is seeking a surgical physicians assistant for their practice. the position requires some travel between clinics and hospitals. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy specialty practice where focus is on team work and providing the utmost level of service to patients.

As a physician assistant you are responsible for:

• On call for evening and weekend emergencies
• Performing appropriate interviews and physical examinations
• Ordering and screening results of laboratory diagnostic studies
• Organizing and integrating information derived from the interview examination and laboratory
• Assisting with the performance of clinical procedures
• Experience with spine surgery a plus
• Instructing and counseling patients regarding preventive health care behaviors; monitoring responses to physician-directed programs of therapy
• Responding independently to life-threatening situations; facilitating patient access to appropriate health care services
• Assisting the physician by performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures; managing various common medical problems
• Wound care
• Removing casts and changing dressings

Requirements:

• 2-5 years working as a physician assistant preferred
• Must have a current pa license
• Orthopaedic experience preferred 

Salary: Commensurate with experience
