Inside Sales Logistics Account Executive

Lakeshore is currently recruiting for an Inside Sales Logistics Account Executive to work for the industry leader in transportation and logistic services.  The Inside Sales Logistics Account Executive will be responsible for developing and maintaining long-term client relationships.  This is an excellent opportunity for an individual interested in utilizing sales skills in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

• Conducting sales calls to prospective clients via telephone (70+ calls per day)
• Contacting customers to build and maintain ongoing relationships
• Increasing business with customers through the maintenance of long-term client relationships
• Identifying client needs and selling appropriate services to meet those needs
• Providing quotes and booking freight on the spot for clients as needed
• Performing all rate negotiation with clients
• Managing daily load activities by communication with customers, suppliers and vendors to ensure goods are picked up and delivered in a timely manner
• Accurately entering daily details into a complex internal computer system
• Answering incoming sales calls to generate additional volume
• Providing excellent customer service to client base (i.e. problem resolution and tracking of loads)

Qualified candidates will meet the following requirements:

• 1-2+ years experience working in the transportation industry preferred
• BA or BS in related industry desired
• Sales experience in any industry a plus
• Proficiency in operating computers and applications
• Must be a committed team player with the ability to function both independently and as part of a team
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
• Function efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to complete multiple projects simultaneously
• Must be open to work one Saturday (half day) per month
