Administrative Assistant – Bookkeeper

Lakeshore is currently recruiting for an Administrative Assistant to fulfill both administrative and bookkeeping duties for a national commercial real estate firm. The company focuses on development, tenant advisory, investment services, agency leasing, and property and facility management. This firm successfully conducts business integrating operations with concern for the environment. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual interested in utilizing administrative skills in commercial real estate.
Responsibilities for the Administrative Assistant - Bookkeeper position will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Bookkeeping to include accounts receivable & payable, payroll, paying bills, reconciling bank & credit card statements and monthly sales tax returns
- Providing administrative support including phone typing, running reports, filing and distributing correspondences
- Scheduling and coordinating meetings and special events
- Assisting in lease administration (i.e. completing lease set up, administering lease changes, and generating reports)
- Preparing and coordinating bid proposals and service contracts and approved invoices
- Tracking and filing contracts and insurance certificates
- Assisting with monthly and quarterly financial management reports including annual budget preparation
Qualified candidates for the Administrative Assistant - Bookkeeper position will meet the following requirements:
- 1-3+ years of experience working in an office environment
- High school diploma
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software programs
- Knowledge of accounting software and bookkeeping techniques (i.e. MRI or Skyline)
- Must be a committed team player with the ability to function both independently and as part of a team
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills
- Function efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to complete multiple projects simultaneously
