What is the difference between temp and contract-to-hire?
Temp is short for temporary. This means that the assignment is scheduled to last for a limited period of time. Contract-to-hire means the client has expressed an interest in hiring someone permanently for a position, but it will begin as a temporary position. Think of contract-to-hire as a working interview. You get the chance to experience the position, environment, and corporate culture while the client experiences your skills, flexibility, and characteristics.
